History
Chi University was founded in 1998 by Dr. Huisheng Xie. Since its founding, Chi University has trained over 11,000 veterinarians from 75 countries and regions in integrative and holistic modalities.
Mission Statement
Chi University is dedicated to providing quality education to veterinarians and active veterinary students in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and other Integrative Veterinary Medicine modalities through distance learning and on-site lab practice to meet the needs of the global veterinary community.

Provide a transformative educational experience for our students, create and communicate knowledge that changes veterinary practice, and pursue excellence in all our endeavors.

To equip veterinarians and veterinary students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to advance TCVM and other Integrative Veterinary Medicine modalities throughout the world.
Accreditation
Chi University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Chi University is currently engaged in the process for determining eligibility to apply for candidate for accreditation status (pre-application) with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s (MSCHE). MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance education, correspondence education programs, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States. MSCHE accepts complaints and third-party comments for institutions engaged in the application and candidacy process. Please visit MSCHE’s website atwww.msche.orgfor more information. Chi University is an institutional participant in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA).
Chi University is registered as an out-of-state Private Postsecondary Institution with the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
