Bio
Dr. Tia Perry was raised in Northern Virginia. She spent many of her early years immersing herself in animal care, focusing her studies on biology, animal husbandry, and health care. These interests guided her to Virginia Intermont College, where she completed curriculums in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Equestrian Studies in 2007. Her interest in medicine continued to grow, and she pursued veterinary medicine and public health at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2014, she moved to the Washington DC area, and spent 5 years in small animal private practice. She began her integrative journey in 2017 when completing a certification in Canine Rehabilitative Therapy. After completing her multi-species acupuncture training in 2019, she established a solo mobile-only integrative practice and continued to expand her integrative training. Her additional fields of study include Western and Chinese Herbal Therapies, Equine Rehabilitation Therapy, Food Therapy, Massage/Tui Na, Medical Manipulation, and TCVM Palliative and End of Life Care. She is deeply focused on pain management and helping her patients live their lives at the highest level of activity and with the greatest quality of life.
When not caring for her patients, Dr. Perry enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and her two beloved dogs.
