Bio
Dr. Emily Mangan graduated first in her class from the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began studying veterinary acupuncture at Chi University while completing her veterinary degree and has since earned certifications in veterinary acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, food therapy, Tui-na, veterinary medical manipulation, and canine rehabilitation. She has also pursued additional training in animal osteopathy, myofascial work, manual therapy, and canine sports strength and conditioning.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Mangan completed an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a mixed-animal Integrative Medicine Internship at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Mangan lectures on traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, veterinary osteopathy, and manual therapies at Chi University, veterinary colleges and conferences throughout the United States and internationally. She regularly contributes articles and textbook chapters on integrative veterinary medicine.
She owns a mixed-animal house-call practice based in Pleasant Hill, Oregon. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys hiking the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, playing the folk harp, and teaching her Labrador to count and differentiate colors.
