課程摘要
台灣新北市的小動物針灸CE課程相當於在美國開設的小動物針灸CE課程。對於居住在亞洲的學生而言,這是一個理想的選擇,適合他們獲得認證的獸醫針灸師文憑。
此CE課程包括在線講座,動手實驗室和台灣現場講座。在線講座,演示幻燈片,課堂講義和期末考試均以英語進行,但現場講座,實驗室和可用的輔導僅以中文進行。
學習內容及目標
小動物針灸計劃為中獸醫學的新教材提供課程設計,將理論與實踐完美結合。學生將學習:
- 準確定位:157個犬貓最常用的針灸穴位
- 深入理解和掌握中獸醫基礎知識:陰陽、五行、臟腑、病因、病機、經絡、精、氣、神、血、津液
- 掌握中獸醫診斷方法:舌診、脈診、觸診、八綱辨證、臟腑辨證等
- 針灸臨床技能:將針灸熟練應用於犬貓的臨床診療
- 中西獸醫整合:中西獸醫結合應用於常見或特殊病例的診斷與治療,包括骨骼肌肉系統疾病、胃腸道疾病、呼吸系統疾病、神經系統疾病、生殖障礙、行為障礙、皮膚疾病、免疫介導疾病、內分泌異常、老年病例、腫瘤等

CVA 認證
CVA是動物診所開展針灸業務的許可資質,為世界獸醫行業所認可,廣泛適用於北美、歐洲、亞洲、澳大利亞等國家和地區,並被國際獸醫針灸協會(International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, IVAS)和世界中獸醫協會(World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, WATCVM)所認證。
獲得CVA認證的條件為:
完成全部5個模塊的學習
完成模塊1-3中3次網絡測試,且每次測試成績在75%以上
通過最後的筆試和針灸實操考試,且獲得75%以上的成績
提交一份獸醫針灸病例報告,並通過審核
完成針灸臨床實習(二選一)①跟隨認證獸醫針灸師,完成30小時的臨床實習②參加高級中獸醫研習會,或者參加國際中獸醫年會(ICTCVM) 及中國臨床中獸醫大會(CCC-TCVM ),達到30小時的學時要求
請注意,Chi不能在獲得DVM(或同等學歷)之前向獸醫學生簽發任何證書。

Huisheng Xie
DVM, PhD
Dr. Xie has 41 years of clinical, teaching, and research experience in veterinary acupuncture and TCVM. He has trained over 10,000 veterinarians to practice TCVM worldwide. Dr. Xie’s education includes advanced training in veterinary medicine, veterinary acupuncture, and human acupuncture. Dr. Xie has authored 20 books and over 100 peer-reviewed papers. His textbooks, including Xie’s Veterinary Herbology, Xie’s Veterinary Acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine-Fundamental Principles, have been used for TCVM training programs around the world. Dr. Xie continues to teach and develop educational courses and programs at Chi University, serves as a full clinical professor at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and is an honorary professor at China Agricultural University, South China Agricultural University, and China Southwest University.

Dr. Hanwen Cheng practices in New Taipei City, Taiwan. He received his DVM degree from National Chia Yi University. Dr. Cheng is the President of The Chinese Society of Traditional Veterinary Science, and the Vice Chairman of the Fourth Members Conference of Asian Society of Traditional Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cheng has been invited to speak by different veterinary medical associations, including the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the Chinese Society of Traditional Veterinary Science, Chi University, and other various universities. Dr. Cheng received the Taiwan Outstanding Veterinarian Award by National Veterinary Festival in 1999 and was recognized as one of the Top Ten International TCVM Practitioners by Global Sun Samiao in 2012.
Aituan Ma
DVM, PhD, MS, CVA
Dr. Ma is a professor at the College of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural University of Hebei, China. Dr. Ma graduated from the College of TCVM, University of Hebei, China in 1987. From there she became a teaching assistant at her hometown University. She received her Master's degree of TCVM in 2005 and got her PhD from the College of Veterinary Medicine, China Agricultural University in 2008. She has authored 4 TCVM textbooks and published over 50 papers. She was a visiting professor at Cornell University, the University of Florida, and Chi from 2011 to 2012.
Cheryl Chrisman
DVM, MSTCVM, CVA, CVCH, CVTP, CVFT
Dr. Chrisman received her DVM from Michigan State University in 1968, an MS degree from the Ohio State University in 1974 and became certified in veterinary neurology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1976. Dr. Chrisman is a certified veterinary acupuncturist from Chi. She was a professor and Chief of the Neurology Service at UF for 30 years and integrated acupuncture into her neurology practice as well as a member of the UF Acupuncture Service. She is a Professor Emeritus at UF as well as the former Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is on the Executive Board of the American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Roger Clemmons
DVM, PhD, DACVIM (Neurology and Neurosurgery), CVA, CVFT
Dr. Clemmons graduated with his DVM from Washington State University. There, he also was granted a PhD in veterinary science (emphasis in neurophysiology and clinical neurology). Dr. Clemmons then took a faculty position at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine where he practiced neurology and neurosurgery for 35 years before joining the private Veterinary Specialty Hospitals in Florida. Dr. Clemmons, a board-certified specialist in Neurology, has published over 100 peer-reviewed original studies, reviews, papers and abstracts and given numerous presentations, both in the US and abroad. At UF, he has had an active research program and is known for his work on platelet physiology and in the study of neurodegenerative diseases such as degenerative myelopathy. He has developed a number of innovative neurosurgical techniques including fixation of atlantoaxial subluxation and Wobbler’s syndrome. Dr. Clemmons taught veterinary and graduate students at the University of Florida for 35 years. Dr. Clemmons became a certified veterinary acupuncturist (CVA) at Chi in 2000. He was certified in TCVM Food therapy (CVFT) from Chi in 2009. He integrates Veterinary Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and nutrition into his practice. He is a national and international speaker in the field of neurology and the science of veterinary acupuncture.
Constance DiNatale
DVM, CVA
Dr. DiNatale owns a holistic practice in Winter Park, Florida. She uses predominantly herbs, acupuncture, nutrition and spinal manipulation to treat patients. She took the IVAS acupuncture course in 1989, and has studied and taught with Dr. Xie at Chi since 1999. Her favorite things to do in her spare time are to spend time with her son, Valentine, and to teach and learn at Chi.
Cindy West
DVM, CVA, CVTP
Dr. West graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. After completing a 15-month internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital, she practiced primarily conventional Western Medicine at her own small and exotic companion animal clinic in Plantation, Florida for 19 years. After selling her South Florida practice, she began to study TCVM at Chi. In 2008, after becoming certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Tui-na by Chi, she opened her new practice, Alternative Veterinary Medicine, located just north of Tallahassee, Florida. She now practices primarily TCVM and integrated medicine for small and exotic companion animals. Due to the growing demand for holistic medicine, she has begun to practice TCVM for equine patients as well. She has recently completed the advanced acupuncture course for small animals, and currently serves as a lab instructor for the Small Animal Acupuncture course at Chi. She plans to expand her study of holistic medicine to include energy medicine in the near future. Her energy is renewed by relaxing with her critter family on her farm in South Georgia.
Ronald Koh
DVM, MS, DACVSMR, CVA, CCRP, CVMMP, CVCH, CVFT
Dr. Koh earned his veterinary degree in Taiwan and further honed his expertise at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, completing a specialty internship and a Master’s in acupuncture/integrative medicine. Subsequently, he has been teaching at Chi University and served as a clinical assistant professor at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine before his current role as the clinical associate professor and head of Integrative Medicine at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Certified in acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, Chinese food therapy, rehabilitation, and medical manipulation, Dr. Koh is also board certified in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also holds the distinguished title of Charter Fellow with the American College of Veterinary Botanical Medicine. Dr. Koh is an internationally recognized speaker and mentor in the areas of rehabilitation, TCVM, and integrative medicine. He also has contributed to academic literature, penning book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on these areas. His clinical focus centers on integrative approaches to various health conditions to optimize clinical outcomes and quality of life, particularly concerning pain management, mobility issues, and chronic disorders.
