Course Overview
The TCVM Fundamental Theories Course is a 8-hour continuing education course approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards Registry of Approved Continuing Education (AAVSB RACE). It is presented as a 8-hour online course. The course can be taken by small animal, mixed, and equine veterinarians, and lecture and lab material covers contexts for both small animals and horses.

Megan Meyers
DVM, CVA, CVCH, CERPV, CVMMP
Dr. Megan Meyers, DVM, graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 and is a leader in integrative veterinary medicine. She holds multiple certifications, including veterinary acupuncture (CVA), Chinese herbal medicine (CVCH), equine rehabilitation (CERPV), and veterinary medical manipulation (CVMMP). With an MS in Integrative Veterinary Medicine (Equine), Dr. Meyers has dedicated her career to advancing equine sports medicine and performance care. Her professional interests focus on integrative approaches in equine practice, particularly for sport horses. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, faith-based activities, boating, and camping.
Donna Hein
DVM, CVA, FAAVA, CVCH, CVTP, CVFT, CVMMP, MSTCVM
Dr. Donna Hein graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After practicing for 9 years in private practice, she encountered cases where Western medicine fell short, prompting her to pursue acupuncture. She obtained certification in acupuncture from IVAS in 2008 and furthered her studies at Chi, achieving certifications in Tui-na (2011), food therapy (2012), and herbal medicine (2013). In 2014, Dr. Hein became a Fellow in Veterinary Acupuncture, followed by certification in Veterinary Medical Manipulation in 2016. She earned her MS-TCVM in 2022 and her MSIVM-C in August 2024. Dr. Hein also shares her expertise by teaching acupuncture labs and lecturing at Chi. Based in the Houston area, she operates as a mobile TCVM practitioner, balancing her professional life with cherished time spent with her husband and two daughters.
