Conference Overview

Join Chi University and the World Association of TCVM for the 27th Annual International Conference on TCVM (ICTCVM) held at the Wuxi International Conference Center in Wuxi, China. From October 14th to 16th, 2025, enjoy enriching workshops, cutting-edge lectures, and networking opportunities with peers and experts in the field. The main theme of this year's conference is TCVM for Feline, Exotic Animals, Behavior, and Infectious Diseases. After the conference, on-site attendees will have an opportunity to explore the local area during the post-conference tour (October 17th to 24th).

Conference Lectures

Keynote Speakers

Dr. LLoret received her DVM from Murcia University in Spain in June 2002. She earned her veterinary acupuncture certification from Chi University-Thailand in 2005. The following year, Dr. LLoret completed the acupuncture internship program at the University of Florida with Dr. Xie. She served as Chief of TCVM Services of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University Alfonso X in Madrid, Spain from 2014-2021. Dr. LLoret is the translator and editor-in-chief of the Spanish edition of TCVM: Fundamental Principles by Dr. Xie. She is currently the director of Chi-Europe, Chi-Spain and Chi-Ireland and serves as a primary instructor for Chi CVA courses throughout Europe. Dr. LLoret TCVM specialty in both small animal and horses , offering clinics in Ireland.

Dr. Todd graduated from the University of Florida with a DVM in 1988. In 1993, Dr. Todd became an apprentice to Dr. Patrick Sullivan, AP, and began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1996, he became certified by IVAS. His studies continued at Chi. He has lectured and instructed nationally and internationally for IVAS, the North American Veterinary Conference, and Chi. Dr. Todd practices integrative veterinary medicine at the Animal Hospital of Dunedin in the Tampa Bay Area.

Dr. Hanwen Cheng practices in New Taipei City, Taiwan. He received his DVM degree from National Chia Yi University. Dr. Cheng is the President of The Chinese Society of Traditional Veterinary Science, and the Vice Chairman of the Fourth Members Conference of Asian Society of Traditional Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cheng has been invited to speak by different veterinary medical associations, including the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the Chinese Society of Traditional Veterinary Science, Chi University, and other various universities. Dr. Cheng received the Taiwan Outstanding Veterinarian Award by National Veterinary Festival in 1999 and was recognized as one of the Top Ten International TCVM Practitioners by Global Sun Samiao in 2012.

Dr. Min Su Kim received his DVM from Kyungpook National University of Veterinary Medicine and PhD degree from the Seoul National University in 2006 with acupuncture and surgery studies. Then, he completed an internship in acupuncture at the University of Florida (UF) Veterinary Medical Center. He is associate professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Chonbuk National University and has been working as a research professor at Indiana Medical School. He has authored over 5 books of veterinary surgery and traditional veterinary medicine and published over 90 papers on veterinary surgery and acupuncture in peer-reviewed journals. He has been working as academic committee chair in both Korean Society of Veterinary Surgery (KSVS) and Korean Society of Traditional Veterinary Medicine (KSTVM). He has been one of the major speakers and instructors at the Chi courses in South Korea and Beijing.

Dr. Tatang Cahyono specializes in TCVM and works in the largest small animal clinic in Jakarta. Dr. Cahyono received his DVM in 2003 from Airlangga University in Indonesia. During his early professional career, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Later, he became certified and worked as a human acupuncturist. In 2012, he went to Chi to study Small Animal Acupuncture, Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine, Food Therapy, and Veterinary Tui-na. Dr. Cahyono is the Indonesian Board Director of WATCVM and an International Director of Chi.

Dr. Chee May Wong graduated with a DVM from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2003 and has practiced in small animal medicine and emergency practice for twenty years and established her own private clinics in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. In 2013, Dr. Wong began pursuing an education in TCVM at the Chi Institute (now Chi University) and earned a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA, 2013), Certified Veterinary Chinese Herbalist (CVCH, 2017), Certified Veterinary Tui-na Practitioner (CVTP, 2017), Certified Veterinary Food Therapist (CVFT, 2017) with Dean's List recognition, Certified Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Practitioner (CTCVMP, 2018) and Master of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (MS-TCVM, 2019). Dr. Wong the Director of Chi Malaysia, tutor, lab instructor (TA), Acupoints examiner and also part of elected WATCVM BOD and APATCVM BOD. She has published and presented her case & research studies including “ Integrative Medical Approach to Anaplasmosis in a dog", “TCVM Approach to Acute Pelvic Limb Paralysis in a Dog,” "The Effectiveness of Integrating Gui Pi Tang with Conventional Medicines in the Treatment of Thrombocytopenia in Dogs: A Retrospective Study,” and “Integrative mSAP for Arthritis and other Geriatric/Pediatric Conditions in Dogs and Cats etc. Her mission is to save more lives, especially in emergency critical care cases with the latest integrative medical approach by applying Traditional Chinese veterinary medicine treatment regime.

Dr. Janice Huntingford is a 1984 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and a Board-Certified Specialist (Diplomate) in Canine Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine (DACVSMR). She is certified in Animal Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, in Animal Acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, in Chinese Herbal Medicine through Chi University, and is a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner. In 2007, Dr. Huntingford opened Ontario’s first saltwater canine therapy pool and canine rehabilitation centre. Dr. Huntingford lectures nationally and internationally on rehabilitation, acupuncture, geriatric medicine, herbals, and pain management to veterinarians and veterinary technicians. She has authored or co-authored several textbook chapters on rehabilitation and published a number of peer reviewed manuscripts. She consults and sits on several advisory boards related to herbal medicine, laser therapy, pain management and holistic medicine. Dr. Huntingford is the director for Chi Canada which offers Veterinary Acupuncture and Canine Rehabilitation Certificate programs in Essex, Ontario.
