Overview

The Canine Acupuncture Deep Dive Course helps solidify your grasp of acupuncture points and to become more confident in treating your patients with acupuncture. The course is intended for small animal practitioners who have learned and are familiar with canine acupuncture points and respective indications. In total, the course is 14 hours.

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide a solid review in canine acupuncture points. During the course, you will:

  • Learn a simple way to locate acupuncture points in dogs and their respective indications
  • Review acupuncture techniques such as dry needling, aqua-acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and moxibustion
  • Examine how to use these acupuncture techniques on each of these points

Instructors

Dr. Xie has 43 years of clinical, teaching, and research experience in veterinary acupuncture and TCVM. He has trained over 12,000 veterinarians to practice TCVM worldwide. His education includes advanced training in veterinary medicine, veterinary acupuncture, and human acupuncture. Over 200 of his papers are published in peer-reviewed journals and he has authored more than 26 books, including Xie’s Veterinary Herbology and Xie’s Veterinary Acupuncture, which have been used for TCVM training courses around the world. He served as a clinical professor at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine until 2021 and is an honorary professor at China Agricultural University, South China Agricultural University, and Southwest University. Dr. Xie continues to teach and develop educational courses and programs at Chi University.

Dr. Terri Rosado holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is certified in canine rehabilitation and medical manipulation. As an Associate Professor at Chi University and the Medical Director of Chi Animal Hospital, Dr. Rosado is passionate about education, offering externships to Chi and veterinary school students, and inviting volunteers to experience integrative small animal practice.
