Sanitary Precautions
Chi is implementing the following precautions, while also taking into consideration federal, state, health, and local guidelines:
- Masks will be required
- Gloves will be used by all staff
- Hand sanitizer will be accessible
- Surfaces will be sanitized frequently
- UV lights installed in HVAC to remove any other pathogens
Class Precautions
As Chi opens up its classes, we prioritize the safety of our students, instructors, employees, and community volunteers:
- Temperatures will be measured and monitored
- Lunches and snacks will be prepackaged separately for each person
- Social distancing will be enforced
Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be social distancing on campus?
Yes. Seating will be arranged in a manner to allow for 6 feet of separation between all students and instructors during lectures and labs.
Will face masks be mandatory?
Face masks will be mandatory for all students, instructors, employees, and community volunteers. One face mask per day will be provided to those who do not have one.
Will hand sanitizer be available?
Hand sanitizer will be available during all on-site classes, throughout our campus buildings, in designated areas.
Will there be additional attention to cleaning?
Yes. The campus will be cleaned and disinfected regularly throughout class days, including but not limited to door handles, library computers, restrooms, tables, and chairs.
How will beverages and food be handled during on-site classes?
Lunches and snacks will be individually portioned, and there will be no communal drink stations. Instead, complimentary water bottles will be provided, while coffee and tea will be served by a staff member.
What additional measures are being taken for the HVAC system?
Ultraviolet Germicidal Light (UVGi) Air Sterilization Systems are installed throughout Chi’s campus. These systems utilize UV-C light, the most effective for germicidal control.
What other safety measures are being taken for on-site classes?
We will test staff, students, instructors, community volunteers, and visitors’ temperature at arrival. Any staff or visitor with flu or COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to leave the campus and seek medical care.
